America’s Got Talent is officially back! Now that AGT is back for its 19th season on NBC, there’s been a huge twist to the show itself. Instead of 4 or 5 Golden Buzzers, this season will feature 9. Comic Learnmore Jonasi is among the recipients of the season.
Who is Terry Crews’ Golden Buzzer Learnmore Jonasi?
America’s Got Talent host Terry Crews‘ has yet another unique pick for his Golden Buzzer. This season, Crews’ chose to give his Golden Buzzer to comedian Learnmore Jonasi. Here’s everything you need to know about the comic.
According to Learnmore Jonasi’s website, he is a “stand-up comedian and actor” that is “over 6 feet” tall. His comedy is said to revolve around his “past life experiences, observations and his view (from the top),” which always brings on laughs. According to his Wikipedia page, his genres of comedy are self-deprecation comedy and situational comedy.
Learnmore has “performed with and alongside the biggest names on the African Continent and performed in 35 cities across 15 countries at various Theatres, Festivals, Comedy clubs, and on TV Shows.” In 2023, the comic won the 2023 Boston Comedy Festival, and was the 2023 audience choice Jersey City Comedy Festival.

His other accolades include winning the 2019 National Arts Merit Awards as the Outstanding Comedian of The Year, and The Savanna Comedic Choice Awards as the Pan African Comic of the Year. Learnmore was also the People’s Choice Award winner in Steve Harvey’s Stand Up spotlight competition. This comic has also been nominated and won an award at the Zimbabwe Achievers Awards SA. He has been touring around the United States since 2022.
Learnmore Jonasi’s Golden Buzzer is pretty historic. He’s the first comedian to earn the Golden Buzzer on a normal (non spin off) season since Season 15 in 2015. This is especially iconic because the last recipient, Drew Lynch, won second place on his season.
