When she’s not at home with her husband, Brett, and their daughter, Hazel, you can probably find Jasmine Roth in a hard hat! The HGTV star is helping families turn their disastrous DIY projects into the home of their dreams on the hit series Help! I Wrecked My House.
The HGTV star — who most recently teamed up with Staples for its WFH Style Sweepstakes, which will award three lucky winners a chance to upgrade their work from home space — spoke exclusively with Distractify about Season 3 of her hit renovation series, her dream HGTV guest star, and why it's important for your home office to get a bit of a facelift.
Jasmine Roth said she's currently filming Season 3 of HGTV’s ‘Help! I Wrecked My House.’
In the HGTV series Help! I Wrecked My House, Jasmine “comes to the rescue of overzealous do-it-yourselfers,” the network shared in a press release. Jasmine and her team help fix failed DIY projects and turn them into dream-worthy spaces.
"We are in full-blown construction [mode]. We are doing 10 houses this season. Five of them I already have under construction. So we are right in the midst of it," Jasmine told us about filming Season 3 of her hit renovation series.
According to reports, new episodes of Help! I Wrecked My House are set to air on HGTV in fall 2022.
For those looking to start their own DIY renovation project, Jasmine told us that people need to go into projects having a plan.
"They think they have a plan, but what they don't realize is their plan is usually just how to rip things apart. And they don't necessarily have a plan to like put it back together. And that's usually the hardest part," she said. "So I would say if you don't have a plan from A to Z, your project is probably not going to work."
She added, "If you're just like, 'I'll just rip everything apart, and then we'll figure it out,' that's not a good plan. It never works out that way."
Jasmine Roth revealed the HGTV star she'd love to work with.
It's not unusual for renovation stars to cross paths on the network. We've seen HGTV personalities work together on Rock the Block and A Very Brady Renovation. So, is there one star whom Jasmine would love to work on a project with?
"I would say that my dream ... Martha Stewart," she said. "I've never met her. I've never worked with her. But I would love to do something with her because her career is so inspiring."
She added, "I could go on and on. But Martha Stewart is on HGTV now. And so I'm like, maybe someday I'll get to work with her."
Well, we'd certainly love to watch Jasmine and Martha team up for a design project!
How to revamp your home office space, according to HGTV star Jasmine Roth.
Let's face it, many of us are still working from home in this post-pandemic era. But, that doesn't mean your space should be overcluttered or feel uninspiring. Jasmine, who teamed up with Staples as part of its WFH Style Squad, designed three unique office looks to help inspire others to find their workspace style.
"I think there are definitely ways to make our own home offices feel like they're [a space where] we can focus, a space [where] we are encouraged to be creative," she told us. "My first tip is to, if possible, try to set aside a space that's just for an office. I know it's really hard. I mean, I worked on my dining room table for the first year and a half that I was home."
Overall, Jasmine explained that even if your space is limited, it's important to declutter and organize.
Staples WFH Style Squad is giving three lucky winners a chance to win one of the three looks, each valued at $5,000.
